Dog Friendly Accommodation Policy
At Quarterdecks Retreat, we welcome guests’ furry companions and offer a dog-friendly environment. This policy outlines the conditions under which dogs are permitted to stay at the property.
By bringing a dog to Quarterdecks Retreat, guests acknowledge and accept the terms of this Dog-Friendly Accommodation Policy.
Booking Requirements
As not all villas are pet-friendly, guests must advise Quarterdecks Retreat at the time of booking if they intend to bring a dog.
Pet-friendly accommodation is subject to availability and approval.
Eligibility
- Maximum of two dogs per villa
- Maximum weight of 15kg per dog
- Dogs must be well-behaved, socialised, and under the owner’s control at all times
Pet Fees
A pet fee applies to cover additional cleaning, sanitising, and maintenance required to prepare the accommodation for future guests.
The pet fee does not cover specialised cleaning, repairs, or damage caused by negligence or failure to comply with this policy.
Pet Fee Schedule:
- 1–2 nights: $50 total pet fee
- 3–7 nights: $100 total pet fee
- 8 nights or more: $100 plus $14 per additional night
Additional Dog Fee
A fee of $10 per night applies for a second dog.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of $300 is required for all dog-friendly stays.
The security deposit will be refunded following departure and inspection of the villa, provided there is no damage, excessive cleaning required, or breach of this policy.
Rules and Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for the behaviour, supervision, and welfare of their dogs at all times.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash whenever outside the villa or courtyard
- Dogs must not be left unattended in the villa or courtyard
- Guests must make suitable arrangements for their dog during tours or day trips (e.g. pet-sitting or boarding)
- Dogs are not permitted on beds, lounges, or other furniture
- Guests must immediately clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste appropriately
- Dogs must not urinate or defecate inside the villa
Damage and Additional Cleaning
Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or additional cleaning costs arising from their dog’s stay.
Where specialised cleaning, repairs, pest treatment, deodorising, or replacement of damaged items is required, the cost may be deducted from the security bond, and additional charges may apply.
Dog-Free Areas
The recreation and pool area of the property is a designated dog-free zone.
Guests must ensure dogs do not enter these areas at any time.
Liability
Guests accept full responsibility for any injury, damage, nuisance, or loss caused by their dog during their stay and agree to indemnify Quarterdecks Retreat against any related claims.
Management Discretion
Management reserves the right to require the immediate removal of any dog that is disruptive, aggressive, excessively noisy, causes damage, or otherwise affects the comfort, safety, or enjoyment of other guests.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in termination of the stay without refund.
Acceptance
By bringing a dog to Quarterdecks Retreat, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Dog-Friendly Accommodation Policy.
